Gypsum and Plywood products are frequently used as a tiling substrate in showers and bathrooms where stud walls are common. Both these substrates are susceptible to deterioration upon contact with Moisture. This can result in loose & cracked tiles & appearance of mould.

Magnesium backer board is a water resistant backer board that will not swell, rot or degrade over time.

Many other tile backer boards are very difficult to score and snap and require up to 6 scores on each straight edge with a specialist cutting tool before the board can be snapped to size. Magnesium backer board is easily scored and snapped with a standard cutting blade resulting in fitting savings of time and money.

Nature UV fiber cement façade panel

A 8 mm solid fiber cement facade according to EN 12467. The panel appears in natural earth colors that help create the rustic appearance of the facade. The panel is used primarily for ventilated facades, curtain and stern. Nature UV fiber cement façade panel is produced in the colors Cement Gray, Anthracite and Crude White. Mgo board for exterior walls

MGO BOARDS consist of calcium, silicon, aluminium and magnesium oxides with lightweight aggregates; both surfaces are reinforced with alkali-resistant glass fibre mat.
These easy-to-install lightweight panels for outdoor applications are designed to resist the harshest weather conditions such as: rain, humidity, frost and thermal shock. MGO boards are weatherproof and will not swell, crumble or deteriorate and ensure exceptional dimensional stability.
This is an extremely sturdy system which is ideal for external walls, façades, false ceilings and external coverings in general; MGO boards are lightweight and very easy to install making them ideal for restructuring and renovating facades, cornices, parapets, porticoes and other architectural structures that require high mechanical strength and weatherproof resistance.
MGO boards may also be used in interiors where humidity or water are present rather than coated plasterboard which in these cases is unsuitable.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSBefore installation, the boards must be acclimated to environmental temperature and humidity. Temperature should be at least 5°C. The temperature should be between 5° and 40°C during filling and finishing works and for 24 hours after completion. Allow boards to dry thoroughly before mounting. Do not mount damp or wet boards.

WATER-PROOF TRANSPIRING BARRIERMGO Boards are resistant to water but are not waterproof; consequently, when they are used for outdoor vertical curtain walls an anti-condensation barrier consisting of a waterproof vapour-transpiring membrane, must be placed between the structures and MGO Boards. Fix the fabric temporarily to the structures from bottom to top, positioning the sheets horizontally and overlapping the edges of the different layers by at least 10 cm.

HANDLING AND STORAGEStore under covering, protecting the material from rain and excessive humidity. Boards should be transported in vertical position (edge ways), and must be handled carefully to avoid damaging the edges. To cut the board, first cut away the surface reinforcement mat on one side with a cutter, bend the board to break and then cut the reinforcement mat on the other side.

STORAGE & HANDLING 

Even though MGO Board is not affected by water, insects or fire, we recommend that you store MGO Board in a dry, covered area not allowing the product to bow, or sit direct on the ground. Use standard wood working equipment when trimming or cutting to size; circular saw or jig saw or a quick score and snap using a carbide blade scoring knife (depending on thickness of the board). Very comparable handling to drywall or cement based boards without the concern for silicosis.

FASTENING

Nails and screws must be corrosion-resistant, galvanized, or stainless steel self tapping cement screws. MGO Board recommends the use of quality, hot-dipped galvanized nails. Screw fasteners for the installation of MGO Board shall be corrosion-resistant, self-drilling, self-tapping, cement screws.  MGO Board can be hand nailed or fastened with pneumatic tools to help control the depth that the nail is driven down.
